New York Times Top 10 fiction. 10/25/2026

If you’re confused by the date being a week ahead, that is typical for the New York Times best seller list. If I’m not mistaken, the date reflects that of the print issue that this list will be published in. I will give out the top 10 titles on their list every Thursday (when they update the list). Since they have multiple bestseller lists based on whether the titles are in print or digitally available, I am taking the following titles from their “Combined Print & E-Book Fiction” list.

And without further ado, here are this week’s best sellers in fiction:

  1. The Witch by Freida McFadden
“…a chilling, twist-filled thriller about secrets―those we inherit, those we bury, and those people will burn to keep silent.“
    3.5 stars from Library Cat.
  2. Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros
“Welcome to Threshing Day, the brutal, high-stakes trial where would-be riders at Basgiath War College fight to earn the bond of a dragon or die trying.”
  3. Other Worlds Than These by Stephen King and Peter Straub
“In Other Worlds Than These, Jack must stop a rampaging gang of infected teenagers from America-side, and the forces of the mysterious Gullet at the edge of Mid-World, before it destroys our world and all worlds.”
  4. Partita by Barbara Kingsolver
“…Pulitzer Prize winner Barbara Kingsolver’s unforgettable new novel reflects on class barriers, the risks of ambition, and the timeless love affair between life and art.“
  5. The French Illusion by John Grisham
“…a gripping, suspenseful page-turner about a Paris honeymoon gone horribly wrong—and the nightmare that follows.“
  6. Theo of Golden by Allen Levi
“A story of giving and receiving, of seeing and being seen, Theo of Golden is a beautifully crafted novel about the power of creative generosity, the importance of wonder to a purposeful life, and the invisible threads of kindness that bind us to one another.“
  7. Verity by Colleen Hoover
“Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish.“
    5 stars from Library Cat!
  8. The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett
“…a bold, big-hearted novel about a group of unbreakable women, fighting for what’s rightfully theirs—and the power of friendship to change everything.“
  9. Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
“Welcome, Crawler. Welcome to the Dungeon. Survival is optional. Keeping the viewers entertained is not.“
  10. Bound and Unbound by Ali Hazelwood
“Bound : A reluctant con artist and a professor with too many secrets are bound by an arcane text—in more ways than one.
Unbound : A five-thousand-year-old woman who has outlived empires. A doctor who has spent his life fighting death. They [sic] fates collide in a blood game of vengeance.
